Naive 02:54
You thought that you were naive, Just wait til you're old The more you take to your hands, The less you control Don't try to map it all out, Or watch it unfold You're looking to touch things, friend That only God can hold How does it fell to wait out For what may not ever come To hold back from those who are in need And only give to some They'll make it fine on their own, No they don't need me But I'm standing on shaky ground Cause' it's me who's in need

Home Again 02:45
Home again Yes I'm on that road again To see the folks I know The places that I'll go When I'm back home again And when I close my eyes I recall the places That I've seen But they soon lose their charm And I'm left longing for Home again Yes I'm on that road again Well I've been on my own For far too long I know And I'm going home again Home again Yes I'm on that road again To see the folks I know The places that I'll go When I'm back home again

about

Robert Hudson and I spent thirty-two hours in a car over a three day weekend to play one showcase in Austin, TX for the 2014 South by Southwest music festival... But the showcase was cancelled... due to rain...

Lucky for us, our good pal Spencer Garland (who was also putting us up) offered to help pass some time by recording some tracks in his studio on Hammack Dr.
He whipped out his trusty 8-track and 2-track tape recorders, threw up a couple of microphones and we captured the three songs that would soon comprise 'Travis County Macaroons'.

I do believe that as the faders on that old analog Tascam board rose, our spirits followed suit, and the gloom of that rainy, musty, Texas day was snuffed out forever. It suffices to say, the trip worked out after all.

SO! Offered to you today (and tomorrow, and the next day..) are three tracks that are my first to record to tape, and I'm proud to share their texture, character, and saturation with you in all it's beauty.

I want this to be free to you just as it came free to me. Pay only if you would be otherwise spending your money on AXE body spray. ENJOY!
